No of Post: 1 Sex: Female Nationality: Afghan Salary: Attractive salary based on qualification & experie Date Announced: 2008-04-01 Closing Date: 2008-04-06 Background: First Afghanistan Construction Company (AFCO) is an Afghan company with international expertise and exposure to war zones. AFCO works as a joint venture with ALMCO (an international group of companies) in construction sector in Afghanistan under the supervision of a board of directors comprised of expatriates and Afghan nationals. Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Personnel management - keeping up to date records of all staff, contracts, attendances, inventories/stocks, transportation records and documentation, holidays, etc. 2. Supervising the administrative affairs of the AFCO including purchasing requests, flight bookings, obtaining legal documentation, leave allocation, attendance records, etc. 3. Plan, organizes and control the work/activities of administrative section. 4. Plan, implement, and coordinate projects staff, and resources and prepare coordinate the management reports. 5. Liaison with project staff and sub-contractors. 6. Liaison with national and international suppliers. 7. Represent AFCO in any official occasion if required. 8. Overall supervision of the contact with government agencies ensuring that all legal requirements are met, e.g. obtain vehicle registration, work permits, import licenses, customs clearance etc. 9. Ensuring proper support to all departments/teams and meetings. 10. Ensure that the employment contracts and job descriptions of the staff are reviewed and updated when necessary and proper record is kept. 11. Keeping a systematic and clear filing system. 12. Arranging meetings for PD and GM. 13. Any other task/duty that is necessary to the program. Qualifications required: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: 1. Previous experience of working in Administration and HR affairs. 2. In depth knowledge of Admin systems/administrative management and reporting. 3. Human Resource Management skills, and the inclination and ability to analyses admin information. 4. Effective negotiation skills. 5. Ability to work under presser and without supervision. 6. Focused individual with capacity to plan and manage and multiple deadlines working environment. 7. Flexible attitude to changing priorities. 8. Capacity to think ahead and highlight areas of concern, risk etc. 9. Good team player and strong initiative. 10. Strong Command over English, Pashto & Dari Languages (verbal and written). QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1. Bachelor Degree, Bachelor Degree in Business in Administration is desirable. 2. Diploma / certificate in computer science / information technology. 3.
